If we didn't have a constant influx of trained network and computer support personnel, industry in the United Kingdom (and around the world) would surely be drawn to a standstill. You should only consider study programmes that move onto commercially acknowledged qualifications. There's an endless list of small companies offering 'in-house' certificates which will prove unusable when it comes to finding a job. You'll find that only recognised accreditation from the likes of Microsoft, CompTIA, Adobe and Cisco will mean anything to employers.

Discovering job security nowadays is very unusual. Businesses can remove us from the workforce at the drop of a hat - as and when it suits them. Security can now only exist through a fast increasing market, driven forward by a shortage of trained workers. It's this shortage that creates the right environment for a secure market - a more attractive situation all round.
